If a stunning image comes to your mind, we can help you bring it to life. From your brand name to your company logo, we’re here to show you how to get the best out of your engraving.

Before jumping right into the world of beautiful and personalized cutting boards, you first need to understand the difference between laser engraving, marking and etching, and why we choose engraving over other methods. Below is a brief description of each method.

laser engraving
Our favorite, and the best option for any personalized wood project, is laser engraving. As the name suggests, this method uses a laser beam to evaporate the material, leaving a beautiful indentation of the engraving of your choice.

Laser Marking
Unlike the other two methods that use a high-power laser beam, laser marking uses a low-power laser beam that uses heat to oxidize the material. This causes discoloration in the marked area, resulting in a high contrast mark.

laser etching
Similar to engraving, laser etching uses a laser beam with high heat to melt your material, creating raised bumps on your chosen image. Depending on the results you like, laser etching is used more on metal materials than on wood.

The best type of wood to use
When it comes to cutting boards, we promise to use only food-safe wood. This ensures that even with carvings, no toxins or chemicals can be transferred into your food from the use of planks.
