Okay, time to weigh yourself
Step up onto the scales
Close your eyes tightly
Feel your heart crashing against your ribs (Those ribs you can clearly see)
Are you afraid?
In the end it’s just a number
Remember, I’ll still be here (Until you’re perfect)
Open your eyes
Swallow hard
Hesitate, pause
An interval of dread
Come on, hurry up
I’m waiting (Like I do every day)
Well, what is it?
Another pound lost?
One gained?
The suspense is killing me!
What’s that?
It’s exactly the same
Oh well, you’ll just have to work a little harder, won’t you
Hop off now
Slip on your shoes
We’ll try this again tomorrow
Hopefully there will be a change in figures (And not just your body)
